"Cultivate Your Instinct"
You're here to learn what you can do!
Typically, this is the area where most instructors tell you that they have 20 years of this and 30 years of that type of experience in some sort of super combat art. Honestly, this amounts to nothing in the end for the student if knowledge cannot be passed along effectively. You're not here looking to honor what the instructor can do/has done, you're here to learn what YOU can do. Judge us by the quality of our students, they are the reason we are here and why this family exists. Ask them about us and then make your decision.
So, while we could tell you we have 20+ years of training and research in armed & unarmed combat, multiple Dan ranks, etc., what really matters is that we have real world knowledge and the ability to teach it. How we benefit our students and make them and the world they live in safer, this is the true measure of a teacher. There is a big difference between knowing/ability and being able to effectively convey it to others. Beware of those teachers that wrap their EGO up with too many titles and lineages, many use this as an excuse to be poor communicators and you deserve better for your time and money.
We all must walk though life understanding that there are no "masters" here among us. This "master" you hear about in classical arts, is a very mentally limiting idea. To think that one has no more to learn in life is simply ignorant. We are ALL students in this life, some of us are simply farther along on this particular path. Leave the EGO at the door and just get in here and train.
