Take Stephanie for example:
Stephanie came to us in order to learn personal protection skills for
her trip to South Africa. She was 17 at the time and wanted the confidence and
the real world ability to be able to take care of herself if she ever had to.
She would be traveling alone on her adventure.
Preventing Sexual Violence
If there was any question about why she needed training, read on.
South Africa is ranked first for rapes per capita.
One in three of 4,000 women questioned said they had been raped in the past year.
More than 25 percent of South African men questioned
in a survey published by the Medical Research Council (MRC) in June 2009 admitted to raping
someone; of those, nearly half said they had raped more than one person.
The Training Begins
Stephanie joined our class and trained standing/ground based attack & counter attacks,
instinctual mechanics, cultivation of the survival mindset, tool use and weapons disarms, awareness
and many other core combative principals.
