How Much Do Classes Cost, and How Long Until I Feel Like I've Actually Learned Something?

These two questions usually come as a pair, and I'd rather answer both honestly than give a vague, marketing-safe non-answer to either one.

The Question We'd Rather You Ask Out Loud

Most people feel a real, tangible shift after their very first class - not after a year, not after earning some rank, but that same hour. That's not a sales line. It's the reason we back every new student with a two-week guarantee instead of just saying it in a brochure. We can make that offer with confidence because we've watched it hold up, student after student, since 2007.

What Determines Cost

Pricing depends on which program fits your situation best - ongoing group classes, private one-on-one lessons built around your specific schedule or goals, or a seminar for your group, church, or company. Rates can shift over time, so rather than printing a number here that might be outdated by the time you read it, we'd rather give you a straight, current answer over the phone or in a text. What we can tell you with certainty is the structure: every new student starts with a low-commitment trial class, no gear or uniform required, so you can feel exactly what training here is like before deciding on anything longer-term.

Our Two-Week Guarantee, Explained

Train with us for two weeks. If you don't feel like you've genuinely learned something real and gained authentic confidence in that window, we refund 100% of your tuition - no fine print, no runaround, no hoops to jump through first. We built the guarantee this way on purpose, because we're not worried about the outcome. We've seen it play out the same way for long enough to trust it.

What to Expect at a Trial Class

Show up about ten minutes early, in jeans and a t-shirt with closed-toe shoes - no uniform or gear needed. You'll meet your instructor, get introduced to a few other students, and get walked through exactly how the hour will go, with no pressure. You'll train alongside the group and pick up simple, instinctive tactics you can actually use, regardless of experience level. Afterward, we'll answer your questions and walk through your options if you'd like to continue - that's it.

What's Typically Included in a Program

Regardless of which program you choose, a few things stay constant: hands on instruction from an experienced instructor, access to open mat or practice time depending on the program, a training community of people who take showing up seriously without being intimidating to a beginner, and a curriculum that builds in a logical order rather than jumping around.

What changes between programs is mainly the format, group setting versus one on one versus a one time seminar, and how much individual attention and scheduling flexibility that format allows. None of that is reflected in a price you'd see without calling first, which is exactly why we'd rather walk you through it directly.

Stay Safe!
